Financial Acumen Learning Collaborative with 1-on-1 Learning Opportunities (HQIC)

April 21 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm CDT

*Please Note: This event is for HQIC partners only*

2-3pm MST/ 3-4pm CST

This learning collaborative will focus on the financial acumen required of Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) and rural hospitals to evaluate and direct spending decisions on quality improvement activities. A business case framework will be introduced to assess the Return on Investment (ROI) for quality improvement, safety, and other quality initiatives. It will illustrate how methods such as cost-effectiveness, risk stratification, and sensitivity analysis can be used to enhance the ROI resulting from such initiatives. The framework will account for different and evolving payment mechanisms under which these hospitals operate such as Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) in addition to the more traditional forms of payment from Medicare and Medicaid. April’s session will focus on Cost Benefit Analysis and the June event will address ROW and Making the Business Case. Our faculty for this learning collaborative is Dr. Victor Tabbush. Dr. Tabbush is an Adjunct Professor Emeritus at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a consultant with Collaborative Consulting.

Pre-Registration is required for each participant. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting that is unique to you. Registration for each session is listed below:
