Join Telligen as long-time licensed nursing home administrator David Farrell offers his insights and stories of his experiences leading transformational change in struggling inner-city nursing homes. David presents a person-centered approach to leadership that offers practical strategies that engage the staff, improve care and reduce staff absenteeism. Bundles of effective changes will be highlighted. You’ll be inspired by his personal journal that highlights specific examples of changes that helped to trigger staff reliability.

David Farrell, MSW, LNHA, vice president subacute services, Telecare Corporation
David Farrell is a licensed nursing home administrator who has spent his entire career in the long-term care profession. He started as a certified nursing assistant in order to earn extra money while attending college. That experience inspired him to pursue a master’s in social work with a concentration in gerontology and administration from Boston College. In the 32 years he served as a nursing home administrator and regional director of operations, David consistently implemented patient-centered care using quality improvement practices. He is a published author of numerous articles and the co-author of two books on healthcare leadership.
