Hospital Quality Improvement Program

Telligen promotes healthcare transformation through the identification, use, and spread of evidence-based practice and the systematic use of quality improvement science. We have a long history of strong connectedness to hospital organizations and support hospitals in committing to challenging goals and remaining in on-going action to adapt and test practices in support of achieving goals. We bridge the gap between patient safety, public health, healthcare quality and emergency management. Contact us with any questions you may have.

Financial Acumen Learning Collaborative

This learning collaborative is one of the many educational resources designed for our HQIC partners. The collaborative focuses on the financial acumen required of Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) and other rural hospitals to evaluate and direct spending decisions on quality improvement activities. A business case framework will be introduced to assess the ROI for quality improvement, safety, and other quality initiatives. It illustrates how methods such as cost-effectiveness, risk stratification, and sensitivity analysis can be used to enhance the ROI resulting from such initiatives. The framework accounts for different and evolving payment mechanisms under which these hospitals operate such as Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) in addition to the more traditional forms of payment from Medicare and Medicaid.
