Do you or someone you know have stories to share about your healthcare experiences as a Medicare patient, family member or caregiver? The Telligen Quality Innovation Network (QIN) would like to hear from you.
Telligen is searching for volunteer advisors from Colorado, Illinois and Iowa to join a new regional Patient and Family Advisory Council. The council will share personal stories about navigating the healthcare system, provide feedback and ideas to improve the Medicare care experience and share ideas to engage patients and families in their healthcare.
“Our state advisory councils have provided trusted feedback on Telligen programs, communications and educational materials for several years,” says Frann Otte, senior quality improvement facilitator. “We plan to expand these valuable perspectives by forming one group of advisors from all of the states we serve.”
Telligen seeks advisors from a variety of backgrounds who are eager to bring positive change to the healthcare system. “Like our current advisors, we’re looking for candidates who are inspired to serve, are active in their community and are willing to share their healthcare experiences,” Otte says.
A time commitment of up to three hours a month is requested, which includes bi-monthly meetings by phone or in person. To learn more, contact Frann.Otte@area-d.hcqis.org or visit www.TelligenQINQIO.com to download a poster or application.
