I Choose to Vaccinate Because…
Whether you’re a primary care physician, nurse, pharmacist, or other health care professional, you play a significant role in helping protect your patients against influenza. To help our collaborative members communicate with patients and encourage vaccinations, Telligen has created a video and accompanying brochure for you to use this flu season.
This free video can be utilized to encourage patients to get their flu and pneumococcal vaccinations. Download the video from our YouTube page to utilize in physician or hospital waiting rooms or other patient education environments! Contact us if you would like the mp4 version or a DVD copy.
“If You’d Rather…” Brochure:
The “If You’d Rather” brochure was produced as a complement to our “I Choose to Vaccinate Because…” video. This brochure provides additional information about the flu and pneumococcal vaccinations. It encourages and assists with physician-patient discussions about immunizations. Download the free printable version below!
I’d Rather Be… Notepad Paper:
The “I’d Rather Be” note paper was produced as part of our “I Choose to Vaccinate Because…” campaign as an option for reminding your patients what they would rather be doing than being stuck in bed with the flu. It can be used for grocery lists, to do lists or for any other reminders of why it’s important to vaccinate this flu season.
Conversation Flow Charts:
The Provider Flow Chart walks through discussions with patients who are vaccine-hesitant. This helpful two-sided chart discusses influenza and pneumococcal separately to address the unique challenges of each vaccination. The flow chart can help save busy providers time by providing an easy-to-follow outline to discuss hesitancy.
The Community Champion Flow Chart walks through discussions between community champions and the patients they work with who may be vaccine-hesitant. This chart can help community champions begin a conversation with those patients who may need help in determining whether the flu shot is the right choice for them and provides information to help answer questions those patients may have.
