CMS Sends Letter of Support Recommending Nursing Homes Partner with their QIO
As the Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIOs) for Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, and Oklahoma, Telligen understands the uniqueness of nursing home culture and practices across our four-state region. Because of our quality improvement expertise, CMS is encouraging nursing homes to accept our cost-free expert assistance to strengthen care processes and more effectively protect the Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries admitted to the facility. Our assistance is available while responding to the current pandemic and beyond. While we are not involved in the CMS survey process, CMS expects us to work closely with CMS certified nursing homes to help identify challenges and create action plans to improve quality and support nursing homes’ efforts to receive deficiency-free surveys. Please see CMS’ letter making nursing homes aware that working with the QIN-QIO is part of the CMS mission to increase performance by increasing nursing home quality.
The opportunity to partner with the QIN-QIO is only available until the end of the month. If you haven’t already, register today to join Telligen QI Connect™! Please see CMS’ letter to nursing homes that working with the QIN-QIO is part of CMS’ mission to increase performance by improving nursing home quality.
