Sepsis Prevention: This three part series is designed to give you and your team the tools you need to improve the overall care and safety of your clients and your facility’s readmission rates. Sepsis is preventable, but continues to be a major cause for readmissions to hospitals and can have devastating effects on your clients. Strong preventative care process are vital in the prevention of sepsis and ultimately infections.

Part One: Listen to this presentation to gain understanding of the impacts of sepsis and the best way to prevent sepsis is to prevent infections from occurring in the first place. Hand hygiene is the number one prevention strategy. Part One will provide you with tools and a process to start you off on your improvement journey.

Part Two: Listen to this presentation to gain understanding of the imperative need to early identify the sign and symptoms of sepsis and communicate a change in condition quickly. Part Two will challenge you to work as a team to carry out a process and utilize tools to build your sepsis prevention program.
