Opioid Evidence & Research - Resource

In this graph prepared by Telligen in December 2018, red boxes indicate the top six highest relative ratios of overdose deaths as compared to naloxone prescriptions filled (indicating a negative relationship). Green boxes indicate the top six lowest relative ratios of overdose deaths as compared to naloxone prescriptions filled (indicating a positive relationship). As the percentage of persons that receive naloxone goes up, there appears to be a lower relative rate of overdose deaths. Where the percentage of persons that receive naloxone is lower, the relationship is more sporadic but still indicates a higher relative rate of overdose deaths.

Since data sources, dates, population ages and state demographics vary, this graph is to be used for information only and to add perspective to the topic. No statistical significance is inferred.
