Everything You Need to Know About the MIPS Payment Adjustment
Confused about how the payment adjustment, whether up or down, will follow the MIPS eligible clinician for the MIPS program? Did you realize this is different from the previous years with the PQRS program? In PQRS the adjustment was applied to the TIN/NPI combination and if a clinician left the TIN the adjustment did not follow the clinician to another TIN/NPI combination. CMS determined that it would be more beneficial if good performance was rewarded, and poor performance was penalized, regardless of whether the eligible clinician was billing under a new Tax Identification Number (TIN) during the payment year.
Please join the Michelle Brunsen and Sandy Swallow as they explore the general payment adjustment rules with a walk through several scenarios. Click here to view the recorded webinar
